Our sister airline, Virgin Blue, recently celebrated National Hoodie Day, with some new gear for the Cabin Crew.
The hoodies were worn in support of the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) and Virgin Blue’s four-year sponsorship of the program. This year was the AIME’s first National Hoodie Day, but was quite the success, with fellow supporters including: Ian Thorpe, Libby Trickett, The South Sydney Rabbitohs, The NSW Waratahs and Wendell Sailor; business man Andrew Forrest and entertainer Adam Spencer.

Australia, together with Maze Restaurants in Cape Town, last month teamed up at a Gordon Ramsay black-tie event.
V Australia provided the main auction prize of the evening – two Business class tickets to from South Africa to Melbourne, including dinner at the newly-opened Maze Restaurant, located at the Crown Metropol, in Melbourne’s Southbank precinct. Read more »

Get in on all the cycling action! We’ll be at Stages 6 & 7 of the Amgen Tour of California this Friday & Saturday. Come out and cheer on Fly V Australia and be sure to stop by our booth, we have swag to share.

Calling all cycling fans- we’re giving away passes to join us at the Amgen Tour of California. We’re not talking just the tour, but the final stages of the tour, as our guest in the VIP tent, it doesn’t get much better than that!
As the largest cycling event in America, the 2010 Amgen Tour of California is a Tour de France-style cycling road race, sponsored by V Australia, that challenges the world’s top professional cycling teams to compete along a demanding course from May 16-23.

Sally Seltmann is an award-winning songwriter and singer. She has previously released albums and performed under the name ‘New Buffalo’, and is well known as the co-writer of the song ‘1234’, performed by Feist. Sally now returns with her new album ‘Heart That’s Pounding’, due out April in North America on Arts & Crafts.
